About Harrison
Hi, I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater. My training combined vocal performance with acting and movement, and I bring all three into every lesson I teach. I love helping students turn a song into a full performance, not just a vocal exercise.
I specialize in audition preparation, belting technique, and acting through song, and I work with students preparing for school productions, community theater, and college auditions. We also cover monologue pairing, cutting songs for time limits, and handling nerves in the audition room. My students range from complete beginners to experienced performers polishing their craft.
I once coached a student who had a beautiful voice but went completely blank whenever a director asked her to act while singing. We broke the song into small character beats and practiced them slowly until the acting felt as natural as the singing. She booked her first lead role a few months later.
Musical theater is where voice and story meet, and that combination never gets old for me. I would love to help you find your moment on stage.

My lessons are built around performance, not just vocal technique alone. Singing for the stage requires more than a good voice, so we work on character work, diction, and physical presence together. Belting technique gets special attention, since it needs to be powerful without damaging the voice.
We also practice audition preparation, including how to cut a song properly and make a strong first impression in the room. Acting through song is something I focus on heavily, since a great musical theater performance always tells a clear story. Students learn to connect their acting choices directly to their vocal choices.
Some students are strong actors who feel unsure about their singing voice, and I help them build technical confidence without losing their natural stage instincts. Others have trained voices but stiffen up the moment they need to act while singing, so I loosen that up through movement and character exercises. Both paths lead to the same goal.
A great theater performance should feel effortless to watch, even though it never is. Let's get you ready for the stage.
