About Asha

I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and hold a Licentiate of Music in Voice. My passion is bringing people together through group singing and shared musical experiences. I specialize in teaching families, siblings, and parent-child duos who want to discover the joy of music side by side. My lessons often include partner harmonies that help voices blend beautifully, call-and-response singing to build listening skills, and sing-along games that keep sessions lively and fun. These activities are designed to be both educational and memorable, giving every participant a chance to shine. I love working with genres that spark joy and connection, from Disney favorites to Gospel, Musical Theater, and timeless Singalong Classics. Each style offers something unique—whether it’s storytelling, energy, or pure nostalgia. By exploring these genres together, families create not just music, but lasting memories. I place a strong emphasis on teamwork, listening, and encouragement within group lessons. Singing together strengthens bonds and builds confidence in a way that solo practice cannot. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where every voice is valued and celebrated. At the heart of my teaching is the belief that music is a gift best shared. Through laughter, learning, and song, we create moments that families will cherish forever. Let’s make magical music together and turn every session into a joyful memory.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is designed to help singers grow in both skill and confidence while keeping lessons creative and enjoyable. I believe that everyone has a unique voice, and my role is to guide students in discovering and shaping it. Lessons are flexible and built around each learner’s goals, whether that’s performing, recording, or simply enjoying music more deeply.

I focus on practical skills that make a big difference. Harmony singing helps students blend with others and build musical awareness. Microphone technique is another key area, teaching performers how to control sound and presence on stage or in the studio. Vocal improvisation gives learners freedom to experiment and create, while pop and R\&B stylisation adds modern flavor and authenticity to their sound.

For newer singers, I provide patient support, breaking things down into simple steps that feel achievable. For more advanced learners, I offer detailed feedback and challenges that push them to explore their artistry at a higher level. My lessons always balance technical exercises with real-world application, so progress feels exciting and relevant.

Every student receives encouragement, guidance, and tools to practice effectively. I aim to create a space where singers can take risks, explore new styles, and grow in confidence. Together, we turn challenges into breakthroughs and build the skills needed to sing with power, style, and joy.
