About Aimee
With 10 years of flute teaching experience and more than 150 students successfully taught, I am dedicated to helping learners of all levels reach their musical potential. My lessons emphasise technical skills—breath control, tone, finger dexterity, and rhythm—while also fostering creativity, improvisation, and expressive performance.
I personalise each lesson to match the student’s learning style and goals, ensuring consistent progress and engagement. I also cover sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble participation to provide a complete musical education. My aim is to cultivate skilled, confident, and passionate flautists who love music.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on creating a student-centred, flexible, and collaborative learning experience. I take time to understand each student’s learning style and tailor lessons that make concepts clear, exercises meaningful, and practice enjoyable. This ensures steady progress while nurturing a love for music.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lesson plans, repertoire, and exercises to the student’s pace, goals, and interests. Collaboration is emphasised through duets, group exercises, and ensemble practice, helping students build confidence, expressive skill, and teamwork. Positivity is integral to every session, creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, take risks, and celebrate achievements.
Alongside flute instruction, I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This methodology balances technical mastery with creative expression, preparing students to become confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
