About MaryJane

Maryjane Ikeakaonwu is currently the Leadership and Development Supervisor, Ekoexcel/Coach at EKOEXCEL (Mar 2020 - present). EKOEXCEL is a government-designed and funded program to drive excellence in learning for 500,000 pupils across all 1,016 public primary schools. Through EKOEXCEL, over 14 thousand existing government teachers are being upskilled through re-training and the use of technology that supports and motivates them to succeed in their classrooms. EKOEXCEL was born out of the Lagos State Government's desire to maintain its position as a leading African economy. It believes a critical investment in basic education is required to build the quality workforce needed for the nation's growth. She was previously the Teacher/Facilitator/School Administrator at Bridge (Jul 2017 - Mar 2020), an Education Administration Programs company based in Nigeria.
