About Gina

My name is Gina and I am a software development graduate as well as a software engineering graduate. I have a background as an IT Teacher where I was able to engage with learners who wanted to learn programming concepts as well as being a tech/software development mentor to students. In these roles, I was able to increase multiple students' understanding of really challenging concepts by teaching them in a way where they were broken down further. I am able to pick up on what a student needs in terms of the tutoring they might require to thrive and be proficient in the tech industry.

About the lesson

I am the type of tutor that goes at the pace of student.
I strive to start every lesson with a questionnaire to see what level the student is at so I can tailor the lesson plans according to their level of understanding.
A typical lesson can include a background on some of the programming concepts as well as an assignment and or task to re enforce learning
My lessons are aimed at beginners who are starting off in their software development journey

It's rare to find a tutor that takes the time to listen to a student like Gina. When I first started learning Java, I wasn't even sure that I could ever understand what was going on let alone write a finished program.
