About Priyanka
Hi, I’m Priyanka, a software engineer with a master’s degree and previous experience as a Python Teaching Assistant.
I enjoy making programming easier to understand and helping students build confidence through practice. My professional software engineering experience allows me to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications, while my teaching experience has taught me to be patient and adapt my explanations to different learning styles.
I’m friendly, approachable, and happy to work with students who are completely new to programming as well as those who already have some Python experience.
Whether your goal is to learn Python from scratch, improve your programming skills, understand a difficult course topic, build a project, or prepare for coding interviews, I’ll create lessons around your goals and learning pace.
I believe everyone can learn programming with the right guidance, practice, and encouragement, and I’d be happy to help you on that journey.

I teach Python in a practical, patient, and personalized way, combining my experience as a software engineer with my previous experience as a Python Teaching Assistant during my master’s degree.
My approach is focused on understanding rather than memorization. I break programming concepts into simple steps, explain the reasoning behind the code, and give students opportunities to write and test code themselves. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn how to debug and solve problems independently.
A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous topics and a discussion of the student's current goals or challenges. I then introduce one main concept using clear explanations and practical examples. Most of the lesson is hands-on, where the student works through coding exercises or a small project with my guidance. We finish by reviewing what was learned and identifying what to practice before the next lesson.
I can teach complete beginners as well as students with some programming experience. My lessons are suitable for high school and university students, adults learning Python for the first time, career changers, and learners preparing for coding interviews.
Topics can include Python fundamentals, data structures, functions, object-oriented programming, debugging, problem solving, APIs, SQL, backend development, practical Python projects, and introductory coding interview preparation.
What sets me apart is the combination of teaching experience and real-world software engineering experience. I can explain programming concepts from a student's perspective while also showing how those concepts are applied in professional software development.
My goal is for every student to leave each lesson understanding something they previously found difficult and feeling more confident about writing code independently.
