I’m a high school sophomore living in Austin who enjoys helping others understand their schoolwork. I’m currently taking Algebra 2 Honors, so I’m very familiar with the material and how it’s taught. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I like explaining things in simple ways that make learning feel less stressful and more manageable.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor & How I Share Knowledge
As a tutor, my goal is to help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it. I focus on being patient, encouraging, and adaptable, because everyone learns differently. I explain concepts in simple, clear ways and adjust my approach based on what works best for each student.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I start by asking students what they already know and where they feel stuck. I break down topics step by step, use real-life examples, and ask guiding questions so students can think through problems on their own. I like to review mistakes together and turn them into learning moments. I also check for understanding often instead of moving on too quickly.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material or homework. Then we focus on the main topic, working through examples together. After that, the student practices independently while I support and clarify as needed. I end each session with a short recap and tips they can use when studying on their own.

As a high school student, I can relate closely to what other students are experiencing in class right now. I understand current school expectations, assignments, and stress, which helps me explain things in a way that feels approachable and relevant.
