About Francesca
I have recently graduated from the University of Westminster with a high 2:1 degree in BA Spanish and International Relations. I am offering individual and group tutoring for beginners to degree level Spanish (A1/Beginner - C1/Advanced). I also enjoyed spending one year living in Barcelona and attending the Pompeu Fabra University. While on my year abroad I voluntarily participated in language tandems in which I had the opportunity to exchange language skills with local and international students/non-students on a weekly basis. Language exchange is a passion of mine as it is a wonderful way to stimulate the mind, challenge oneself and appreciate diverse cultures.

I believe that the most effective learning is reflected through engaging teaching. Therefore my teaching methods reflect this as I incorporate practical language learning through conversation and frequent vocabulary quizes to ensure consistent improvement. I am happy to cater my sessions to ensure my pupil gets the most out of this experience which I evaluate depending on their progress. I discuss a variety of topics with my pupil before mutually deciding which ones are most interesting for them, including: Greetings, Environment, practical expressions and phrases, expressing thoughts/feelings, food, jobs, leisure, music/film/TV, transport, news etc. My lesson structure comprises oral, listening and reading comprehension delivered virtually or in person (socially distanced), for a fun, engaging and environmentally conscious learning experience! I approach each topic with an introductory conversation followed by relevant vocabulary exercises and visual/audio listening exercises and discussion.
