Most of my lessons are focused on communicative situations, that is, real communication for daily life situations. The way most teachers and expensive programs teach appeals to many who don't like to do work, but they don't end up being able to actually speak Spanish. The methods I use to teach actually works. Spanish is not an easy language but definitively it is not an impossible one. Drop me line, and I'll tell you more about my method. After the first lesson, you will see with your own eyes .
My way to teach Spanish is different from most. Memorization is an important part to learning a language, but it is not the only one. You should learn some things by heart but being able to produce your own flow is very important. You will develop this skill by practicing communicative tasks of real communicative situations. Therefore, you have to memorize the verb conjugation patterns in the beginning and you will apply them in real daily life contexts. This is the effective path to reach the conversational stage of Spanish. After that you will polish your accent. So in the beginning I will teach numbers, phrases, and vocabulary as well as I will focus on teaching you to do something that rarely Americans learning Spanish do, conjugate the verbs in the various necessary tenses. Once you can do that, you will actually be able to form your own sentences and practice the language by speaking, that is, more naturally learning the other parts of Spanish. But it all starts with the verb conjugations and real communicative tasks.
Translation Studies, Spanish for Foreigners, Linguistics I concentrated on the subject of ELE, which is the Spanish acronym for Spanish as Foreign Language. At the well-known and prestigious Caro y Cuervo Institute, which has been recognized and awarded several times with important prizes such as the Prince of Asturias Awards, I refined my knowledge and know-how of ELE with these diplomas: PEDAGOGY AND DIDACTIC OF SPANISH AS FOREIGN LANGUAGE, DIDACTICS OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AS FOREIGN LANGUAGE. As outcome of my academic reflation and hands-on activities a Didactic Unit based on the documentary series “the very locals”, title of the didactic Unit: the Tamal, will be soon published by the Caro y Cuervo Institute.
