About Brielle

I have 15 years of experience teaching Spanish and hold a Doctorate in Hispanic Linguistics and Applied Language Studies. My expertise spans grammar, phonetics, idiomatic expressions, writing, conversation, and cultural literacy, providing a holistic approach to language education.

I emphasise individualised instruction that combines structured lessons with interactive, culturally enriched exercises. My approach encourages learners to actively practise speaking, reading, writing, and listening while developing critical thinking and expressive fluency. I create a supportive, engaging environment where students are confident exploring the language, experimenting with new expressions, and understanding cultural contexts.

Outside the classroom, I participate in cultural exchange programs, academic research, and mentoring students for professional or academic Spanish applications. My passion is guiding learners towards linguistic competence, communicative confidence, and cultural understanding. Witnessing students progress from hesitant speakers to fluent, confident communicators who appreciate the cultural richness of the Spanish language is the most fulfilling part of my work.

About the lesson

Spanish lessons with me are designed to develop complete language mastery while fostering a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Spanish-speaking communities. Each lesson begins with a detailed assessment of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing accuracy, listening skills, and conversational fluency. This helps me create personalised lesson plans tailored to the student’s current level, goals, and preferred learning style.

Lessons integrate interactive conversation exercises, storytelling, reading comprehension, structured writing, idiomatic and colloquial usage, and multimedia resources such as films, music, and digital articles. Students are encouraged to engage in role-playing, discussions, and debates, enhancing their critical thinking, expressive confidence, and practical communication skills. Cultural topics, including traditions, regional variations, history, and contemporary issues, are embedded into each lesson to enrich learning and make the language come alive in meaningful contexts.

Advanced learners focus on sophisticated grammar, professional writing, public speaking, formal presentations, literature analysis, and real-world communication scenarios. Continuous constructive feedback ensures improvement in pronunciation, style, clarity, and fluency. My aim is to help students communicate effectively, gain cultural competence, and develop the confidence to use Spanish in personal, academic, and professional contexts while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the language.
