About Elena

As stated before, I have tutoring experience in several areas:
- I have tutored Maths, Physics and Chemistry in the past.
- I currently volunteer 2 hours per week teaching English with Student Action for Refugees.

This provides me both with tutoring and language teaching experience. Given it's my mother language, I'm confident teaching Spanish at any level, including advance or specific areras. Having also learnt English to a fluent level myself, and currently learning French, I'm familiar with the language learning environment, and its struggles, and hope to make a comfortable space to anyone learning with me. Honestly, no shame or shyness to make mistakes or not being sure about how to procced: I have been there! English was not my most favourite subject, yet I ended up studying here by my own choice. I would be happy to help others learnin Spanish whether that is for personal interest, for school/university, or to open up opportunities. I have also been demanding and professional with my own studies and the tutoring I have done before, so whatever it is your goal with Spanish from beginner to advanced, I will do my best to make sure you reach that desired level. As a university student, I'm familiar with high academic requirements, and Spanish A levels and GCSE.

I chose to offer my skills to teach Spanish as I believe it's an area I can fully help students with and that I can confidently cover, and it's a job compatible with my current needs and schedule as a final year university student.

About the lesson

I have experience tutoring high school subjects before (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) and I currently volunteer teaching English with Student Action for Refugees. This provides me both with tutoring and language teaching experience.

I am open to work on any level and areas you want to focus. Whether that is improving your writing, to reducing your accent o working on grammar, I will adjust to your needs. Given I'm a native speaker, I will be comfortable teaching you from basic to advanced levels.

English being my second language, I can understand and have been in the position of learning a new language before. Therefore, you need not to feel uncomfortable or shy with me, as I truly understand where you are, the struggle, and the joys that come with it. Thus, I hope to be an encouraging teacher that meets your needs thanks to my Spanish skills and my understanding of the process of learning a foreign language.

The length of a lesson will depend on your availability, however I recommend one to two hours as an adequate time. Teaching methods depend on the area you want to improve (writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, accent reduction).

About myself, I'm studying BA History and International Relations student at King's College London. I came to the UK 4 years ago due to my parents' job, and when they went back I decided to apply for university, this being my final year where I graduate!
