Andrew was a superb GCSE PE tutor for my son. His knowledge of the subject was exceptional, and he had a real talent for breaking topics down to the exact level needed before gradually building in more advanced criteria and understanding. He installed confidence from the very beginning and thoroughly covered exam techniques, past papers, and the key skills required to succeed in the subject.

My son came away from the sessions feeling far more confident, prepared, and knowledgeable going into his exams. I can wholeheartedly recommend Andrew as a Fantastic tutor who genuinely cares about his students’ progress and success.

Andrew has been (and is still!) a brilliant tutor for my son in year13 doing his btec sports paper 2. Andrew really listens and takes time to understand my son’s way of learning and communicates regularly with me to ensure a coordinated approach with the feedback I get from my son’s school. Btec sports paper 1 was definitely a success because of Andrew’s continued support. Focused; reliable and definitely always does what he says he’ll do. Thank you Andrew - what a relief it was finding you!!

Andrew has been a great tutor for me as he explains everything in a totally different way to my A level teachers. Good to have a different perspective on the subject and he makes the lessons more enjoyable by making me feel comfortable enough to ask him when I’m not confident with my answers and can extract the information from me by asking me in a friendly, encouraging way when I don’t even realise I have the knowledge. He’s definitely helped me increase my grades in PE much more than the teachers could have done.

Andrew was a great tutor who was always punctual, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I was a student who was taking my A level PE again after achieving a D in 2024, with Andrew’s help I achieved an A in all 3 papers of OCR A-level PE and narrowly missed out on an A* in paper 1. Andrew was always able to explain parts that I didn’t understand initially and I would highly recommend him to everyone looking for a PE tutor.

Andrew helped my son who was studying for a Level 3 Extended Diploma Qualification.
Andrew provided excellent help across a number of areas, he was able to shed light with his interpretation of the vague assignment briefs and was able to give good insight into the marking scheme. He provided sound advice on the structure and content of assignments. He provided excellent reviewing, feedback and advice on improvements that could be made for the assignments and provided advice on additional research that could be done to enhance the work to distinguish it from others. In addition Andrew was as flexible as he could be for session times, flexible about session objectives, flexible for accommodating extra sessions and is a general all round descent person.

Andrew tutored my son, with year two of his A Level PE.

Prior to Andrew tutoring him, his grades and predicted grades weren’t good and he lacked confidence in his ability to tackle this subject.

During the course of Andrew tutoring him, my sons grades / expected grades slowly started to pick up, to the point, that he is now predicted to get a good grade.

His confidence in the subject has risen noticeably since Andrew has been tutoring him, which was a major factor of in holding him back.

Andrew is incredibly friendly and flexible with his tutoring, which really helps when you have a teenager who plays a lot of sport outside of school.

Lastly, Andrew has kept me informed all the way through his tutoring of my son, as to his progress and also with any particular problem areas that needed attention.
