About Andrei
I am a PhD student due to finish in September this year, and I am excited to expand my teaching outside of a single university. I have experience teaching one-on-one sessions, workshops, and lectures, and I want to spread my knowledge and understanding of statistics and data analysis to a wider audience. Being a fresh graduate working recently with many dissertation students, I believe I have a sympathetic approach to students' problems. I understand your struggles and know how to get you over them!

I am a seasoned statistics and data analysis adviser/tutor with two years’ experience working for the Maths And Stats Help (MASH) service at the University of Lincoln, and five years’ experience teaching research methods and statistics to Psychology undergraduates. I have had over 500 one-on-one appointments with students at all levels, as well as lecturers. I helped people with their assignments and dissertations, and offered consultancy for research projects. I have a BSc, an MSc and am the end of a PhD, so I have experience writing all types of dissertations and research reports. I offer support with the use of statistics software (Excel, SPSS, jamovi, and others), statistics-oriented programming languages (R, MATLAB, and Stata), and survey software (QuestionPro, Qualtrics, JISC, and MS forms). I can also teach statistics from 0 to hero, as well as with reporting statistics and writing dissertations/essays. During my experience with one-on-one tutoring and workshop delivery, I have developed a visual teaching style, specialising in getting students from hypothesis development to data analysis and presentation without learning the Maths behind the Stats. I am also proficient at teaching complex statistics concepts without using mathematical equations: if you understand that 5 is larger than 2, that is all the maths you need! I am experienced in quick problem solving and teaching, giving solutions in one hour or less to most students.
