Hello there. I am an established online tutor and an Applied Psychology degree student specialising in Research Methodologies, Social Psychology and Educational Psychology. I am based in Salford and am currently working with degree students completing Research Techniques modules, and for general study skills, as well as for dissertation supervision. My lessons are done mostly online using Microsoft Teams. The first lesson will involve the initial assessment of your knowledge base via online testing. This will allow me to isolate areas to work on, and for us to celebrate the areas that you are already confident in. From here, an action plan will be drawn up with consideration of your own personal and academic deadlines. Following that, our sessions will be casual and taken at your pace, featuring an "I do, we do, you do approach", with homework set weekly.

Emma tutored my daughter in preparation for her GCSEs, which she took recently. My daughter is AuDHD and takes a while to open up to people, but Emma made her feel comfortable and understood her strengths and needs straight away. Week by week, my daughter’s confidence grew and she progressed far more than I’d expected. Thank you Emma for your patience and for always going the extra mile; it is hugely appreciated.
Emma has been tutoring my son for his Media Studies A-Level since the beginning of the year. His confidence has really grown since working with Emma. She engaged with him and understood his needs right from the beginning. Wish we had found her sooner! Would highly recommend.
Emma is a passionate, caring, and exceptionally knowledgeable tutor. I had the pleasure of working alongside Emma in a further education sixth form college, where their personable and approachable teaching style was consistently inspiring. Emma has a natural ability to make students feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their learning, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism and subject expertise.
Emma takes the time to understand each learner’s individual needs and adapts their approach to ensure learners can make genuine progress. Emma's dedication, patience, and enthusiasm creates a learning environment where students feel motivated and capable. With Emma as a tutor, learners are not only supported academically but are encouraged to grow as independent, resilient thinkers. It’s a combination that truly sets students up for success.Emma is very knowledgeable and passionate, constantly eager to learn and therefore her skills are very current.
Also has a great way with students and an understanding nature with excellent manner to students of different ages, backgrounds and abilitiesEmma really helped my autistic son (13) get to grips with English.
