About Nishat
I'm a Computer Science student at California State University, Dominguez Hills, with a strong passion for education and helping others succeed. I have over two years of experience working with students at the high school and college level, which has given me a deep understanding of how to explain technical and academic concepts in ways that are clear, approachable, and effective.
In my current role as a Student Assistant with the Computing Talent Initiative at CSUDH, I lead sessions where I mentor college students in Python, data structures, and technical interview preparation. Before that, I worked as an academic tutor supporting 30 high school students across Math, Science, English, and Coding — improving their academic performance and sparking genuine interest in Computer Science for many of them.
I am patient, reliable, and genuinely invested in every student I work with. I take the time to understand each person's learning style and adapt my approach accordingly. My goal is not just to help you get through an assignment — it is to make sure you actually understand the material and feel confident moving forward.

I believe the best way to learn something is to actually understand it, not just memorize it. In every session, I start by figuring out exactly where you're stuck and what you already know, then I build from there at your pace — no rushing, no judgment.
A typical lesson with me looks like this: we review the concept together, I walk through examples step by step, and then you try it yourself while I guide you through any confusion in real time. I use real projects and practical examples to make abstract concepts click.
I have two years of experience tutoring students in Math, Science, and Coding at the high school level, and I currently mentor college students in Python and technical interview prep at CSUDH. I know how to explain things multiple ways until one of them lands.
My sessions are great for middle school and high school students struggling with math or just getting into coding, as well as college students taking introductory Computer Science, Python, or Java courses. Whether you're trying to pass a class, build your first project, or prep for a coding interview, I'll meet you exactly where you are.
