About John
I graduated from Clovis East in 2025 as a Valedictorian and Academic Scholar of Distinction with a 4.48 GPA and ranked 12th in my class. I completed 7 AP classes including AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. In addition, I earned admission to top 75 universities such as Penn State, NC State, UC Davis, UCSD, and USC. I committed to USC and spent the fall semester there, earning a 3.92 GPA; however, due to personal reasons, I've returned to Fresno to continue my degree and enroll in EMT school. I'm passionate about helping my community and look forward to working with you!

I'm a student-focused and adaptive tutor, able to work with students from middle school to high school. I focus more on making sure my students understand the WHY behind concepts, not just simple memorization of the facts, I like to build on a student's strengths to help them understand better.
My typical first lesson is more based on diagnostic questions and figuring out what my student is struggling with, but also finding what they know so I can more effectively build on their strengths.
What sets me apart is how I've been working helping my classmates throughout high school. My friends and classmates in difficult AP classes always came to me to help so not only was I able to build an understanding on complex material, but a way to reteach said material to fellow students.
