About Nicholas
I want students to know that I am truly dedicated to helping them reach a deeper and clearer understanding whenever possible. I know that it can be difficult to get enough direct attention from teachers and professors at times and sometimes we just some individualized assistance to obtain a clearer understanding of what we are trying to learn. As a student myself I have experienced academic hardships, but I have been able to work past these issues and I want to help you overcome your educational challenges too.

I would describe my tutoring approach like a friend that is here to motivate you and help you develop the tools and techniques to advance in your education. A typical lesson plan with me starts with a greeting/introduction. Next I ask questions about the concepts the student is studying and the details of their issues. Where we go from here is dependent on the type of issue, but we will typically work through some examples or discuss the concepts to reach a better understanding. I try my best to allow the student to work on their own, giving hints and explanations when necessary. Towards the end of the session, it is helpful for the student to summarize and review the material.
In the past I have mainly tutored at a college level, but I would love to help middle and high school students as well.
