About Mekiyas

I am a student who attends University of Maryland-College Park which ranks top 20 in the US for Computer Science. I take pride in helping others and bettering the community as I am a part of over 15 clubs and have near 5 leadership roles. I have also exceeded many expectations taking so many advanced classes and have earned a certificate in JavaScript and currently pursuing one in Python. I have also had a summer internship at the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank, which is one of the biggest international companies in the world. Overall I am a very genuine person who loves to teach and is hoping to use his love and passion for teaching help him pay for college tuition and basic needs.

About the lesson

- I offer tutoring sessions for a very low price compared to many others because I find joy in helping others and not the money.
- I like to give a demonstration explaining every step and how I recommend looking at problems in that unit. Then I like to give a couple practice problems for you to do and go over answers. I try to get the student to explain to me his method because I want his method to be as good as possible. Lastly, I like to do one difficult problem with the student together so that he doesn't get overwhelmed but I don't do all the work.
- I plan to teach courses ranging from most math classes like Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calc. I can also teach programming languages like JavaScript, and Python. I can also tutor some chemistry.
- You can trust me to be a great tutor because I have taken these rigorous courses in high school and college.
