About Sara

I'm currently a student at the University of Melbourne. I've grown up learning three languages at the same time, so I understand the challenges of acquiring a new language, but during this process it has also equipped me with strategies to make the learning process more accessible and enjoyable. Growing up in Italy and being someone who's really into the language and the culture, I aim to create engaging, personalized lessons that match each student's learning style and goals. I focus not only on grammar and vocabulary but also on cultural context and real-life application, which are essential for true fluency. My goal is to make Italian learning approachable, meaningful, and fun. I’m excited about the opportunity to support and inspire students in their language journey.

About the lesson

During lessons I tend to listen to the student's understanding of the knowledge first and then plan my teaching further upon that. I tend to let the student repeat what's being taught in their own words to consolidate their knowledge and to confirm that they've understood. Typically the lesson will last around 1-2 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done. I've had tutoring experience for two years, aiming to teach elementary to middle school students.
