About Bhumita
As an IB high school student, I am trained to perform high-level problem-solving and utilize a variety of critical thinking skills. Hence, I can aid students K-9 by showing them multiple ways to solve problems and how they can approach them with new perspectives, specifically, I will ensure my process of teaching is easy to follow. Additionally, through volunteering with Let's Talk Science, I have taught youth about advanced concepts by summarizing them in an easy-to-comprehend format (e.g. robotics - coding and programming). Next, I have prior tutoring experience at a non-profit organization where I taught Mathematics. Overall, my goal is to provide help to people, specifically through education. I want to aid youth that may struggle in Mathematics or Sciences by showing them several methods to solve problems and how to tackle tough concepts.

Lessons involve discussions about the topic or area of concern where I explain in detail how the concept works or is derived. This will cover the beginning of class. After, the student and I will go through practice questions or other necessary skill building to construct a solid foundation, this will cover the remainder of class. The format of classes are flexible according to the student’s preferences.
