My methods are based on structure however I am open to flexibility because every student's needs may be different. I also prefer to add elements of creativity to make the class engaging, fun and easy to understand by anyone.
I breakdown complicated problems into simple steps that can be repeated in future problems. I show students how much they are able to do with encouragement and through the use of humour.
My focus is on conversational skills as well as on reading, listening, and to a lesser extent writing. I teach grammar and vocabulary as well but primarily through non-traditional methods and generally keep grammar to a minimum. My practice is informed by my own experiences of learning French and Spanish as a child, and more recently through my own efforts at learning Arabic and Korean.

I base all classes on pertinent student interests and/or needs, and class structure is one-on-one and very flexible. My specialty is in assisting students with preparing for formal assessment (tests). I adjust evaluation methods based on student goals as well.

Ultimately, trying a problem and discovering where one goes wrong and then explaining it more clearly or in a different way to things that pertain to their life. I am also currently studying education concurrently with my degree and love the challenge of finding the best way a student learns.

Flow is a form of practice that is breath lead, is challenging for the body and is form of moving meditation. Restorative is a passive practice that allows your nervous system to rest and recharge.
