About Kayla

My name is Kayla, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. I am passionate about working with students and supporting their academic growth in a way that builds confidence and a love of learning.
I enjoy incorporating creativity into my teaching, especially through reading and hands-on activities, to make lessons engaging and meaningful. My goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. I look forward to partnering with you and supporting your student’s success!

About the lesson

I have extensive experience working with students in grades K–5, providing instruction in core subject areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and other foundational skills. I am a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who is passionate about supporting students in their individual areas of need. I strive to create a positive, engaging learning environment where students feel confident, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Currently, I am in my final semester of college as I prepare to begin my teaching internship. Throughout my academic program, I have completed a wide range of coursework focused on education, child development, and research-based instructional strategies. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to differentiate instruction, assess student progress, and implement effective teaching practices that meet diverse learning needs.

I am committed to fostering both academic growth and a love of learning in every student I work with, and I take pride in building strong, supportive relationships with students and their families.

My lesson planning process is designed to meet each student where they are. I begin by informally assessing and observing your child to understand their current skill level, strengths, and areas for growth. From there, I create personalized lesson plans tailored to their individual learning style—whether they learn best through visual supports, hands-on activities, or listening and discussion. Each session is structured yet flexible, allowing me to adjust instruction based on your child’s progress and needs. My goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and effective so your child can build confidence and achieve meaningful growth over time.
