About Benjamin
I am an enthusiastic saxophone tutor with 13 years of experience teaching college students. My teaching approach combines discipline with creativity, helping students build strong basics while enjoying the learning process. I focus on understanding each student’s musical interests and adjusting lessons accordingly.
Students learn tone control, breath support, finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, and performance skills. I include improvisation and musical interpretation to help students play with confidence and expression. I use real-world music examples to show how techniques apply in real performances.
I follow innovative teaching methods such as recording analysis, guided practice routines, and interactive play-along sessions. Music theory, ear training, and reading skills are also part of my lessons to ensure complete musical development.
My goal is to help students become confident, independent, and expressive saxophone players while enjoying every step of the journey.

My Saxophone teaching style combines creativity, mentorship, and structured learning. I focus on helping students understand music clearly rather than memorizing lessons. Fundamentals such as breath support, embouchure control, finger technique, articulation, and timing are taught step by step.
Creativity is encouraged through sound exploration, improvisation exercises, and learning music from different genres. I act as a mentor by guiding students emotionally and musically, helping them overcome fear and build confidence. Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to analyze rhythms, scales, and melodies.
Accountability is a core part of my teaching. I provide structured practice routines and track progress regularly. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Rhythm Training, and Ear Development to strengthen overall musical understanding.
