I am an Irish parent and social worker who travelled abroad for surrogacy and spent several weeks in Cyprus caring for my newborn twins. I now offer friendly preparation sessions for intended parents planning a similar journey from Ireland or Europe.
My support focuses on the practical realities and emotional adjustments of welcoming a newborn abroad. Sessions are tailored to your needs and we can explore topics such as:
1. Surrogacy Abroad: Experience and Story Sharing – Chat about my personal journey, what worked, challenges faced and lessons learned.
2. Packing Topics People Often Forget – Key areas to think about when travelling and planning efficiently for your stay abroad with your little one.
3. Logistical Considerations – Choosing suitable accommodation, planning daily life and managing timelines and practical arrangements.
4. Reality of the First Weeks With a Newborn – Emotional adjustment, understanding newborn behaviour, building confidence as a new parent, and guidance on finding trusted support or help.
5. Travelling Home With a Newborn – Planning for passports and documentation, navigating travel logistics, and preparing for the journey home safely and smoothly.
I bring lived experience of staying abroad with a newborn twins, managing timelines and practical planning and supporting families emotionally as a registered social care worker. Sessions are calm, honest and designed to give you confidence and peace of mind.
This is based only on my personal experience. It is not legal advice and not a recommendation of any clinic or agency. I am happy to share more details privately.
