Vinay sir is diligent. Always open to doubts and any minor detailed questions you are capable of throwing his way. As a teacher he even welcomes mistakes his students might make. I had learn tabla from Vinay sir for 2 consecutive years and my experience with sur has been great. I did even know what was actually a table, playing it was far fetched but sir taught me with so much of patience and a loving nature that I scored well in 12th boards as well as learnt it as a life long learning.

Hey I am Vinay sir’s student from the batch of 2020 (SKV). Vinay sir is an amazing Indian percussion teacher. I never had confidence in myself that I will be able to play tabla in my life. I don’t know anything about Indian instruments. But his determination and hard work made us ‘ustads’ of tabla .There were 26 students from my batch and teaching so many students is not everyone’s cup of tea. But sir really you are a miracle.
