My teaching methods are very unique. To learn the tabla and to achieve higher proficiency in tabla playing you just need to have a tabla, enthusiasm and dedication. I will teach you from its Basic core. In tabla, proper positioning of the finger is very important to get the desired sound. In my lectures, I would provide in-class tutoring.
I am very methodological when it comes to teaching. I usually try to teach my students in the same way as i had been taught, but if this way doesn't work well with them I try to teach them in a way which suites them the best. Also i try not to bore them while i am teaching so i try to put in some fun while i am teaching.
I strongly believe in sharing my experience as a professional musician to my fellow music students with the strong essence of theory. I focus on clarity, tone, and technique than anything else at the beginning and then as per the student's interest I guide the student in the specific direction of performance and advanced concepts.
I will bring out the best Tabla player in you IF you're willing to devote your entire attention and desire while learning. For that, I will keep on igniting that spark required to learn constantly.
As a drummer, tabla player and percussionist, flexibility is mandatory. It’s essential for teaching and learning too. Some students like to focus on exams and grading, others want to be able to play in bands, and a few just want to play the fastest double bass drum rolls in the world! No one wants an environment in which attention isn’t paid to the students likes and dislikes.
