About Vlad

Originally from Romania, currently living in London, playing in Division 1 of the Wembley & Harrow League currently ranked at 315 in England. I played in over 50 national tournaments and played table tennis for over 12 years, learning from a coach, other players and online sources. I have plenty of experience training players who are mostly between beginner to intermediate level, in both individual and group lessons. My sessions cover all aspects of this sport, from proper form and technique to how to approach the most specific game situations.

About the lesson

The lessons will have the following structure: For individual lessons: Physical warm-up, training drills based on what the player should/wants to improve on (includes multi-ball training), matches (optional). For group lessons: Physical warm-up, training drills of my choice which I will exemplify beforehand, matches (optional). During the whole lesson if I notice anything that is wrong such as form, grip, footwork etc. I will mention it and provide solutions/improvements to the player/players. Hourly rate includes booking fee for Bounce Farringdon

Jas is a fast learner, as most beginners players she had less than ideal form on her hits but she's already correcting them, specifically her grip and feet placement. She actively listens on my feedback and tips and I can already see noticeable improvement in her game, looking forward to our next training session.

The session was a group session of 5. Everyone was really enthusiastic and ready to improve. They all have a good base level already and are actively focusing on correcting their form and being more mobile while playing. The session was great and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Perfect! I had a high stakes table tennis match and Vlad prepared me really well. I had not played in ten years but Vlad addressed my strengths and weaknesses and the structure of our two hour time slot was perfect. He gave a good combination of technique and match practice and really improved my return. I could not recommend Vlad enough. When I have my rematch I will definitely be hitting up Coach Vlad again !

Dan is a fast learner and was able to focus on the techniques I showed him very quickly. His forehand slice has improved a lot and he got more confident opening up with his backhand topspin.

I had the pleasure of trainning with Vlad for several months, and his expertise and dedication to the game really motivated and encouraged me to dive deeper into this sport.
Since our first session he made sure that the practice drills we did are tailored to my needs and that I’m improving and learning every time he’s coaching, I highly recommend Vlad as a coach for anyone interested in improving their skills in table tennis.

Vlad is an excellent player and coach. I’ve played him on numerous occasions in a casual setting and he always helped improve certain aspects of my game on the spot. Not only did he manage to immediately spot my mistakes but he also made his explanation on how to fix them very easy to grasp.

Starting to play table tennis can feel daunting at the beginning since there are so many things to learn. Vlad does a really good job at dividing techniques into individual parts which makes it easier for students to understand good technique and match scenarios. He’s always eager to see people improve and get excited about table tennis in general which makes him a great tutor.

Vlad and I trained together for many years and I’ve seen his development as a player and as a coach. Given the amount of tournaments he played in, he has experience against a variety of players ranging from people playing with peculiar styles to long pimples or anti power and anti spin players.
He is very patient when teaching beginners and always excited to share his passion about the sport with veterans and newcomers alike, I would highly recommend him as a coach.
