About Mélanie

I grew up in the south-west of France and started tutoring children and adults 20 years ago, when living in Vienna, Austria. I am now based in London.
I speak French, English and German fluently and know very well what a great, yet intimidating and sometimes frustrating process learning a foreign language can be.
My eclectic background - I have a Masters in International and European Law, and a Masters in Theatre & Dramatic Arts - makes me a versatile and resourceful tutor.
I am new on this platform. Up to now I have been teaching face to face and online for various language schools in the different cities I have lived in.
I really enjoy the interpersonal aspects of tutoring and have been thrilled through the years to see many of my clients go from not knowing how to introduce themselves, to doing work presentations in French, talking about current affairs, passing their baccalauréat or conversing confidently with their partner or their in-laws!

About the lesson

Learning a language shouldn’t be an abstract, generic experience.
I know first hand that for it to be successful the person’s needs and interests must be at the heart of the process. That’s why sessions can vary from one client to another.

We will assess your goals and your motivation, and get you where you want to be. Whether you are learning your loved one's native language, want to be able to communicate with people when you are abroad, or just fancy having another skill in your satchel of talents, the sessions will be dedicated to achieving these goals in a fun, relaxed, yet efficient and focused way.
