About the lesson

My approach as a teacher is grounded in making complex topics understandable and engaging for my students. Here’s how I generally approach it:

1. Understand the Student’s Level: I start by assessing each student’s understanding and interests, meeting them where they are. This helps me tailor explanations to their level, using relatable examples and language that resonates with them.
2. Simplify Complex Ideas: I break down complicated concepts into smaller, more manageable parts. By using analogies and real-life examples, I make abstract or difficult ideas easier to grasp. I also try to avoid jargon unless I know they’re familiar with it.
3. Encourage Curiosity and Questions: I believe that questions are central to learning. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking anything on their minds, encouraging active participation and curiosity.
4. Visual Aids and Examples: Often, a concept becomes clearer with visuals, so I make use of diagrams, charts, and examples. In a virtual environment, this can include drawing on a digital whiteboard or creating slides with visuals.
