About Arif
I’m Arif, and I’ve been teaching Mathematics to school and high-school students for the past three years. Alongside teaching, I’m also a part-qualified ACCA accountant, which means I work with numbers every day and understand how important strong mathematical skills are for future studies and careers. I’ve always enjoyed math myself—I scored 73 out of 75 in both school and college—and that passion is what motivates me to teach. I want to help students see that math isn’t something to fear; it’s a subject that becomes enjoyable and even exciting when explained clearly and practiced with confidence. My goal is to make learning simple, supportive, and stress-free, so every student feels capable, motivated, and proud of their progress.

My tutoring approach is built on clarity, patience, and adapting to each student’s individual learning style. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring concepts without pressure. Every lesson begins with understanding what the student already knows, identifying gaps, and setting a clear goal for the session. I break down complex mathematical ideas into simple, manageable steps and use real‑life examples to make the subject more relatable and easier to understand.
During classes, I encourage active participation through guided practice, problem‑solving exercises, and step‑by‑step explanations. I don’t just show the solution—I teach the method behind it so students can apply the same logic independently. I regularly check understanding through short questions and adjust my pace based on how the student is progressing. If a student struggles with a topic, I revisit it with a different explanation or technique until it clicks.
I also believe consistency is key, so I provide structured lesson plans, revision strategies, and exam‑focused practice when needed. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and develop a strong foundation in mathematics that will support them in future studies.
