About Joel

I can be sure that I can teach you something about your playing that you may not have thought of before, something not directly relating to technique maybe, but a way you listen to the track you're playing to or the people you're playing alongside. I have great patience and I feel that observing people's playing is something I can do quite well. Again, even if it isn't technique based, I can find something that will help you in a constructive way, not just telling you to play 2000 notes a day or whatever... I only picked up the drums 5 years ago and I taught myself how to play. Now I'm a gigging musician doing between 2 and 6 gigs a week just drumming! I have built my drumming up but also my skills regarding the industry and the people within it. If that is something you're interested in, you're more than welcome to join me for a chat! About the lesson

I try and teach with a very open mind, I appreciate the love people have for the instrument and the urge to get into drumming! I want to give the best lesson I can using my love for the instrument too! My lessons are a judgement-free space, whether you're just starting out or are 10 years into drumming I think we can find something to work on together! I've been drumming for the last 5 years now, playing non-stop through uni and beyond. I've played among some brilliant fellow drummers and musicians alike who've all taught me something new! Typical length of a lesson is an hour but I won't be counting down the time, I usually start with a chat to start anyway! Happy to teach any age or ability!
