About Alex
I am a qualified teacher with over12 years experience, I have worked in different schools with a wide range of students with different abilities and backgrounds. Through working with such a range of abilities it has enabled me to adapt lessons quickly and set challenge at an appropriate level to stretch students.
I always strive to support students achieve their goal.
I will make each lesson individualised.
I will set appropriate pace.
Each lesson will have a structure.
Sessions will be planned.
Sessions will have an objective and an outcome.
Sessions will aim to have a real life element, so it can be transferred into different situations.

In my teaching career I have taught at mainstream, special education needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health school, so have taught a wide range of students and abilities.
Throughout my teaching career I have adopted a number of teaching methods but I believe in a student centred approach as this allows the student to learn in their own way and pace. Within lessons I am able to adapt and alter the level and pace.
Length of a lesson would be 50 minutes.
I graduated from Newman University and have taught at mainstream primary and secondary schools. I have also privately tutored for 2 years to prepare students for GCSE's.
I can tutor from Key Stage 2 to 4. Transition work from year 6 to 7, years 7-9 securing subject knowledge and years 10 and 11 preparation for GCSE exams.
