About Raising

I taught in primary school for 18 years, then as I became more interested in mental and emotional health and well being I decided to leave mainstream education and set up my own tutoring business where I could still do the thing I loved most and teach but really be able to help pupils with low confidence or those who are prone to stress or anxiety. I help my pupils meditate, learn relaxation skills, understand why our brain and body feels nervous and begin to combat this so they can reach their highest potential! I teach/tutor/coach from 4 years upwards.

About the lesson

I’m based in the north of Ireland so for most I will only be available online but I have an excellent app that allows me to communicate with my pupils, show worksheets, interactively write; plus these lessons are automatically recorded and so the option to receive a recording for revision is also possible! I have taught many children online and guided them towards success in transfer/11+ tests. I also carry out confidence and life coaching for older pupils and adults online by video; this is your future so we should get comfortable with video calling.
