About Anant
I'm Anant, a B.Tech engineering student based in Kolkata. I've been playing guitar for about 9 years — I started with some formal lessons, and over time built on that through years of consistent self-practice, mostly by learning songs I genuinely loved playing.
Teaching guitar has been something I've wanted to do for a while. I know firsthand what it feels like to get stuck early on, lose motivation, and almost give up on the instrument — and I also know what actually helped me push past that. I want to pass that on.
Outside guitar, I'm into music editing and production, which has sharpened my sense of rhythm and timing even further. I believe learning guitar shouldn't feel like a chore — it should feel like steady, enjoyable progress toward music you actually want to play. That's the experience I want to give my students.

My teaching approach is built around one idea: play real songs early. Most beginners quit because lessons feel disconnected from the music they actually want to play. I fix that from lesson one.
Structure of a typical class: We start with a quick warm-up on chords/technique from the previous session, then move into new material — usually tied to a song or riff you're working toward. I explain the "why" behind techniques as we go, so theory sticks because it's tied to something you're actually playing, not memorized separately.
What makes my teaching different: I'm self-taught with some formal training on top, so I've personally hit the confusing points most beginners struggle with — and I know how to explain past them clearly. I focus on steady, visible progress each session rather than long lists of exercises with no context.
Who this is for: Beginners with zero experience, and anyone who tried guitar before and lost momentum. Works well for college students, working professionals, and adult learners looking for flexible online scheduling.
