About Mary Yorknom

I am a Physics Education graduate, licensed to teach in schools, I have been giving private tutorials since 2017, I have a degree in Physics but prefer teaching mathematics, Language Arts, Phonics and Basic Science, my pupil graduated as the best in maths in primary school.

About the lesson

I prefer teaching using play-way, hands-on activities and discussion methods, where learning is done in an active way through hands-on activities. Mostly in a playful manner to make learning simple, fun and relatable to the student. I ask questions through discussion to find out if there's adequate understanding of the lesson and I give immediate feedback to encourage students to learn more.
I also engage in discussion to know the previous knowledge of my students and then try to either correct wrong knowledge or build on the previous knowledge, so as to make my student(s) confident in their selves through reflective thinking.
