About Jason

My name is Jason. I am 37 years old, and I was born in a place called Newport, which is in Wales, a country in the United Kingdom. When I was 10 years old, my family and I moved to a place called Epsom, Surrey which is in England. This picturesque town is famous for its horse racing course and is very close to the city of London.

When I turned 23 years old, I decided to radically change my life and move to Bangkok, Thailand, and I lived there for 13 wonderful years! Living in Thailand has allowed me to travel to lots of countries in Asia, such as China, Japan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and The Philippines. Actually I love to travel, and have also been to Greece, Holland, The USA, Peru, Colombia and Mexico. I really love to travel!

My other interests include playing and watching football, playing guitar and keyboard, making songs using software, playing video games and table top games, yoga, jogging and meeting new people.

The reason I love to teach, especially online, is that I can meet interesting students from all over the world. Helping them improve their English and reach their goals is an amazing feeling.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Teacher Jason. I have been teaching since 2009, so 12 years now! I have a Bachelor's degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) from Siam Technology College here in Bangkok, and also a 120 hour TESOL certificate from Chichester College in the U.K.

In that time I have built up a vast wealth of teaching experience. I have taught students as young as 5, all the way up to retirees. I previously taught full time at Chok Chai Rangsit school teaching Kindergarten and Primary age groups. I taught there from 2009-2014. Since 2015 I have primarily been teaching online, with companies such as EF live, Magic Ears and Cambly.

I have also taught part time at many high schools, universities, businesses and also doing private tuition over the last 12 years. This includes teaching stints at Srinakarinwirot University, Rajamangala University, Thai Rum Jai Oil Company, Kasikorn Business Technology Group, Snake Snake Fish Language School and The Language Tutoring Company.

I understand the needs of students after teaching English for so long. I believe in teaching in a relaxed yet engaging environment, where my students can learn, grow and learn valuable skills, but also have fun at the same time.
