About Harley
I have been teaching English and PSHE lessons to high school and univeristy students throughout Manchester and surrounding areas, for the last 2 years. This has been on a one to one basis and up to a classroom of 30-40 students.
My background is predominantly working with a social inclusion charity meaning I work and teach children and adults from all backgrounds, disabilities and genders. I adore what I do, and find that the ability to help someone learn something new teaches me something each day.
I feel as though the first step to becoming a great teacher is to not only be a positive role model but also to listen and respect the needs and capabilities of your students. Which is what I thrive to do, to get the most out of each session.
Students who I have taught in the past have gone away passing their GCSEs, learning English as a second laungage, and passing re-sits in college and university examinations.

In terms of my teaching style, it is adaptive to the individual. Im aware that not every person is the same type of learner, some learn by watching, some by doing, and I heavily incorporate this into my teaching style so my students learn in a style that is suited to them.
In terms of teaching level, I have a masters degree and am equipped and qualified to teach from primary school level to univeristy (undergraduate level).
