About Alex
Use this:
I have studied mathematics and related subjects at the University of Bristol, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and Kaplan International College London. This background has given me experience with rigorous university-level mathematics, including calculus, analysis, and applied mathematical problem-solving.
I offer tutoring in mathematics, particularly trigonometry, calculus, and analysis, as well as physics at high school and introductory university level. I am professional, patient, and reliable, and I take preparation seriously so that each lesson is focused and useful.
Students can expect clear communication, punctuality, and lessons adapted to their current course, exam board, or university module. Whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for exams, or catching up on difficult material, I provide structured support at the right level.

Most students do not struggle with mathematics because they are incapable. They struggle because they were taught mathematics as a list of rules to memorize, without being shown where those rules come from or why they work.
My lessons are different. I focus on understanding, not memorization. Instead of simply giving answers, I guide students through the reasoning behind each idea so they can see the structure of mathematics for themselves. Once the foundations are clear, topics like trigonometry, calculus, analysis, and physics become much less intimidating.
I teach using a questioning-based approach: I ask the right questions, identify gaps in understanding, and build from the student’s current level. The goal is not just to pass the next test, but to help the student become more confident, independent, and capable of solving problems on their own.
Online or in person. The first session is used to understand your level, find where you are stuck, and create a lesson plan that fits you.
