About Esme
Hi! My name is Esme and I am a current Third Year Pharmacology Student at the University of Bath. I enjoy teaching and my personal area of interest is in biology and chemistry, especially the intersect between these subjects!
I also enjoy travelling, playing piano and fitness in my free time!
I have significant tutoring experience with both family, peers and paid tutoring work. I really enjoy working with students and observing the learning process- especially that moment where it all suddenly clicks!
I am also DBS checked and an active student leader at the University of Bath.

There are several different options as to how I run my lessons - depending on the needs and wants of the student and their guardians.
We can take a systematic approach whereby we cover the entire specification from start to finish thereby covering all the content and identifying problem areas that require extra attention. Furthermore, we can follow along with what is being taught in class and consolidate this learning through activities and homework. However, I am happy to take a hybrid approach as needed for each individual student.
My lessons tend to start with more explanation of the topic being covered followed by explained examples and then when the student is confident, practice exam questions where we talk carefully through the answers to ensure full understanding. Practice questions are the best way to ensure top grades in both GCSE and A-level exams with exam technique being both the most difficult and complex skill to master - with this I am happy to help!
