About Koel

Hello! My name is Koel, and I’m a recently graduated sixth form student with a passion for helping others succeed. I’ve been tutoring GCSE Maths for over two years, and I also support students preparing for the 11+ exams. I understand how challenging Maths can feel, but I believe that with clear explanations, patience, and the right practice, every student can make real progress. Tutoring allows me to share my enthusiasm for the subject while helping others gain confidence and achieve their goals. As someone who has sat 11+, GCSE, and A-Level exams myself, I know the importance of relatable teaching and breaking down complex ideas into simple steps. I’m committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, learn at their own pace, and reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I offer engaging and supportive Maths tutoring for 11+ and GCSE students. My approach focuses on building strong foundations, clear explanations, and plenty of practice so my students can gain confidence and problem-solving skills. I adapt my teaching to suit each learner’s pace and style, using online worked examples and exam-style questions to ensure steady progress. My lessons are usually around 60–90 minutes, giving enough time to cover new material while consolidating previous topics. I’m a former student at The Tiffin Girls School so have recent first-hand experience completing these exams which can reassure my students. I have been tutoring GCSE Maths for over two years, so I understand the challenges students face and explain concepts in a relatable way. My lessons are ideal for students preparing for 11+ entrance exams or working towards GCSE success.
