About Minami

I studied teaching methods at university and obtained a teaching license for both junior high and high school. I worked as a teacher for two years and was also involved in coaching language learners. I truly love being a teacher—it’s a job where I can grow together with others. If you've struggled learning on your own, if you feel you're not making much progress, or if you'd like to take your time and learn at your own pace—I would love to support you. Learning a new language means going beyond the boundaries of your native tongue, and I think that’s incredibly admirable. Let’s grow together on this journey.

-About My Lessons- I’ll support your steady progress by setting goals together based on your needs. Lessons are conversation-based, and you’ll be the one doing most of the talking! I’ll give advice and make gentle corrections when needed. My teaching style is like a coaching—cheering you on, guiding you, and helping you improve step by step. Don’t worry—I won’t be doing all the talking! This is your time to practice speaking. -Levels I Support I welcome all levels, and I adjust my approach depending on your experience. • Beginners: Learn to enjoy Japanese, build a foundation, and practice basic conversation. • Getting Comfortable: Speak more freely, gain confidence, and receive helpful feedback. • Advanced: Fine-tune your Japanese with detailed tips and corrections, especially for common mistakes (upon request). -Popular Lesson Topics • Pronunciation coaching • Polite and natural expressions that match Japanese manners • Tips to sound more like a native, including fixing habits or unnatural phrasing -If you’d like, I can also give you homework to help you reach your goals faster. Let’s start by talking about what you want to achieve—JLPT, job interviews, studying abroad, travel, anime, or just for fun! Everyone has a different reason to learn Japanese, so I’ll make sure to create a method that suits you!
