About Fern
I am an enthusiastic flute tutor with 9 years of experience teaching High School, College, and adult students. I have taught 150-200 students, helping them improve technical skills, confidence, and musical expression. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, encouragement, and creating a supportive environment where students feel motivated to learn and explore music.
A highlight of my career was guiding a beginner student from their first lesson to performing confidently at a school concert. I design lessons that are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style, balancing technical mastery with creativity. My goal is to inspire students to reach milestones, gain confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
