About Jesse-Joe
I am in the Senior 6th at a highly academic London private school. I am committed to making exams easier for students so that prepping does not take over their lives or cause unnecessary stress and anxiety.
I have over a year of tutoring experience and my students achieved measurable grade improvements. I have worked successfully with neurodivergent students and those who have been told they are not academic.
Outside of tutoring:
- I am the highest ranked chemistry student at a top UK private school
- I scored Top 50 out of 15,000 nationally in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge
- Achieved gold in the senior 6th UK chemistry and biology olympiads when I was in junior 6th
- My recent mock grades are A*A*A*A* in maths, further maths, biology and chemistry
- Independently studied for further maths A level (until joining school classes in order to get a predicted grade)
- Achieved A* in EPQ and got 9 9s and an 8 in GCSE
- I still have free time to pursue my interests like playing drums in two different bands and going to the gym

I know what it is like to be a GCSE and A Level student. Unlike the majority of teachers, my approach is to focus on efficiently working towards the specific requirements of the exam whilst building genuine expertise rather than relying on cramming or rote learning.
Through personal experience with teachers, I have made a commitment to avoiding common ways teachers cut corners at the expense of students:
- Pointless homework and busy work (fill in the blanks, generic worksheets)
- Covering topics that do not come up in current exams
- Use of AI to produce resources and do marking (which turn out to be incorrect)
I can do lessons anytime after school, weekends and school holidays. Extra lessons can be provided during exam seasons.
