About Swati
I am a textile and lifestyle designer from India with a strong professional background in design and a deep passion for handmade crafts. Alongside my design practice, I run my own crochet business, Loopkaari, where I design and create handcrafted crochet products that reflect creativity, detail, and care.
I truly enjoy sharing the art of crochet and guiding others through a simple, practical, and step-by-step learning process. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone looking to refine and expand your existing skills, I aim to make learning approachable, enjoyable, and confidence-building.
For me, crochet is more than just a craft, it is a mindful and expressive process that allows you to create something meaningful with your own hands. I find great joy in helping students discover this experience, understand techniques clearly, and gradually build the ability to create beautiful, finished pieces on their own.
My goal is to inspire creativity, strengthen foundational skills, and support every learner in becoming a confident and independent crochet artist.

About the lesson

I follow a hands-on, step-by-step method — breaking every stitch and technique into simple parts before moving forward. Each session mixes live demonstration with guided practice, so you learn by doing.
As a textile designer, I also teach you the "why" behind the craft - yarn types, hook sizes, and tension, so your pieces look polished, not just correct.
I also teach sustainable crochet: turning old t-shirts into "t-shirt yarn" (tarn) for eco-friendly projects, so you create beautiful pieces while cutting down on textile waste.
Usual Structure of a Class
- Quick recap of the previous session
- Live demo of the new stitch/technique
- Guided practice with real-time corrections on tension, grip, and form
- A small homework goal to build consistency
Most projects (like a tote bag or baby blanket) take 3–6 classes start to finish. For upcycled projects, I also guide you through prepping old clothing into usable yarn before we begin.
Textile design background — I don't just teach stitches, I teach you to make pieces that look market-ready: color combinations, finishing, and design sense
Embroidery skills — added embellishment techniques to make your crochet pieces stand out
Patient, flexible pace - I adjust to how quickly or slowly you like to learn
I teach complete beginners as well as intermediate crocheters looking to refine their skills. My students include:

- Anyone interested in sustainable, eco-conscious crafting
- Aspiring sellers who want that extra design polish on handmade items
