About Alex
I am currently undergoing official teacher training in Science, currently on school placement. Before my teacher training, I used to work for a tutoring company in Manchester who deliver in-school lessons in a variety of schools in Greater Manchester. The standard of teaching we have to deliver is very high with frequent lesson observations and a library of training resources which is updated weekly. Last academic year, I taught over 40 year 11 students and around 80 from other years. I am a friendly, approachable tutor who relates with those who lack confidence in school, despite having a great academic ability. Quiet or anxious students do not have to worry! Lessons and interactions are planned to support them in their academic development. I was also a quiet student in the classroom and this gives me a passion to help unlock the ability of children who are not as confident in the classroom setting. I graduated from the University of Manchester in July 2023 with a BSc in Biochemistry. I also have multiple qualifications in safeguarding children and an enhanced DBS on the update service.

ONLINE AND IN PERSON TUTORING SESSIONS BY A SCIENCE TEACHER GCSE Science | GCSE Biology | GCSE Chemistry | GCSE Physics | KS3 & KS4 Science (year 7-11 science) After completing around 15 hours of training on a variety of different teaching methods in my previous role, and now being a current trainee teacher, I am used to planning and delivering engaging lessons where the student feels involved and where they are in a safe space to ask any questions. My tutoring sessions are centred around those I am tutoring. Everyone learns in different ways how they learn will determine how I plan and deliver my lessons. My lessons are student driven where students take ownership of their own learning which allows them to monitor their own development, enhancing their confidence.

Perfect! Alex is brilliant . He was just the best and put my daughter at ease . My daughter gets anxious and he explained things well if she didn’t understand. He was patient and went over things until it finally sunk in .
Alex explained that our daughter knew the things just needed the confidence to believe she could do it rather than couldn’t do it. He is polite friendly and a lovely person I couldn’t recommend Alex enough great tutor and it showed my daughter passed her GCSE in science .
