About Anna

Apart from having given English private lessons for more than 10 years, I have also worked in different academies and enterprises, such as EC SYSTEMS in Sant Celoni (Barcelona), STUDIUM ACADEMY in Salou (Tarragona) and FOREMPRESA.FORMACIÓN A EMPRESAS in Salou (Tarragona).

About the lesson

I have a Degree in Translation and Interpretation in English and in Russian at the University School of Translators and Interpreters of Bellaterra (Barcelona). I also studied English as a foreign language at Brunel Technical College in Bristol (England) (1988-1990) and Russian at MGU University in Moscow (Russia) (1992-1993). I hold a Master’s degree in secondary teacher training, vocational training and languages (English). Besides, I got the First Certificate in English and the Advanced Certificate in Russian (5th course) from the Official School of Languages.

I usually use the ENGLISH FILE method in all levels, which includes grammar, many interesting and up-to-date texts and audios, which help students practise their speaking and listening. Besides, I use graded novels with their own audio, which encourage students to speak by commenting the story and by asking and answering questions about it. This way, they learn a lot of new vocabulary and they lose their fear of talking.

As for children, I use different methods that provide motivating and comprehensive preparation for Cambridge exams, such as GET READY FOR STARTERS, FUN FOR FLYERS, etc. Children love them, because they are practical, entertaining and contain listening practice. I tend to complement my lessons using flashcards and different games.
