About Suhana
Hello! I’m Suhana Arif, a self-taught embroidery artist and the creator behind “Suhana Kala Kaari.” I have been passionately practicing embroidery and handmade needlework art since 2019 and love helping others discover the joy of creating beautiful handmade pieces with their own hands.
Over the years, I have worked on customized embroidery projects, hoop art, tote bag embroidery, kurti designs, handmade gifting projects, and creative needlework art for clients, friends, and family. My work has also received appreciation online, including a macrame-embroidery wall clock design that reached 60K+ monthly viewers on Pinterest.
As a teacher, I focus on creating a comfortable, encouraging, and beginner-friendly learning environment where students can learn step-by-step without feeling overwhelmed. Whether someone is learning embroidery as a hobby, for relaxation, creative expression, or to start a small handmade business, I guide them patiently from the basics to advanced techniques.
My classes are suitable for all age groups and are designed to help students build creativity, confidence, and practical embroidery skills in an enjoyable way. I also share helpful tips on presenting and showcasing handmade work through platforms like Instagram and Pinterest.
I believe embroidery is more than just stitching — it is a creative and calming art that teaches patience, focus, and self-expression while allowing people to create something truly meaningful and beautiful.

My teaching approach is simple, practical, creative, and completely beginner-friendly. I believe embroidery is not just a skill but a relaxing and confidence-building art form that anyone can learn with the right guidance and patience.
I teach step-by-step using live demonstrations so students can clearly understand every stitch, technique, and design process. My classes focus on making learning enjoyable and stress-free while helping students build strong embroidery skills from basic to advanced level.
A typical class includes:
• Introduction to materials and tools
• Step-by-step stitch practice
• Live embroidery demonstrations
• Design guidance and pattern understanding
• Creative project work
• Practice assignments and homework
• Personal feedback and improvement tips
Students also receive guidance on color combinations, fabric selection, finishing techniques, and how to create aesthetically pleasing handmade products.
One of my special features as a teacher is that I not only teach embroidery techniques but also help students understand how they can turn their creativity into handmade products, personalized gifts, or even a small business using platforms like Instagram and Pinterest.
My classes are designed for:
• Complete beginners with no prior experience
• Kids and school students interested in creative learning
• College students and hobby learners
• Adults looking for a relaxing and productive creative activity
• Individuals interested in starting a handmade art business
• Anyone who wants to learn embroidery professionally or creatively
I teach in a patient, supportive, and encouraging manner so students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is to help every student enjoy the creative process while developing beautiful needlework and embroidery skills with confidence.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
I was an absolute beginner in embroidery. I didn't even know the basics of it, not even the tools or things used to create the artwork. Suhana made each and every step so easy and clear that now I love doing this in my leisure time. I have created some beautiful pieces for my home, and everyone loves them. Thank you, Suhana, for providing such an amazing experience.
Suhana, she is amazing at her work. The way she teaches the art shows how passionate and hard working she is. I have always taken handmade art for granted but she taught me how to make that an income source and follow your passion. I am very impressed by her and her work. I will recommend everyone who likes embroidery or any custom handmade work she knows them all. She is multi talented.
