About Yohan

General Info: 3.7 GPA from University of California - Riverside (Biology) Coding Bootcamp Graduate (Codesmith) and Introductory Programming Instructor for Concorde Education Tutored for multiple companies: Edupro (current), Study Hut Tutoring, and Nobel Learning Academy 5 Year Pianist/Percussionist (Music Theory) 35/36 on ACT Math and Science Some things to know about me as a tutor is that I have always really enjoyed teaching in general! I would love to make this a career, but unfortunately it doesn't pay enough for me to want to pursue this as a career path. As mentioned earlier I have a strong interest in the Sciences and Computer Science. My goal as a tutor is to help you achieve the grades that you need to reach your goals. I'd also love to talk more about what I am pursuing and some tips I would've followed if I were a high schooler all over again.

About the lesson

How I teach (1 to 1): I try to understand what the student's goals are and what they're trying to achieve first. I then try to understand what the student already knows by having a conversation and testing them on those concepts (it's not an actual test it's just to see where the student is). I then build up from the concepts that my students do not understand. I try to explain concepts in the form of patterns or examples, doing my best to simplify the concept for understanding. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have been a tutor for three different companies. More importantly though I have a genuine interest in the topics that I have studied (Sciences and Computer Science). If a student ever wanted to delve deeper into these topics I would be able to do so. The lessons are for any students ranging from K-12 (preferably Sciences and Math). I do tutor for University students as well, but I would need some time to refresh my memory beforehand. For Math I go up to Calculus.
