About Charlie
I have always been a teacher in some form. When my friends failed to understand our homework or assignments I would try to walk them through it, which I found helped me to understand the subject more. So whenever I had a chance to teach a topic I would jump at the opportunity.
When I was in my second year of University, my skills were noticed and I was asked to be an informal tutor in the physics department. A year later, I was running classes as an academic and loved it. The techniques I developed during this time were so effective, that new academics were told to sit in on my classes to learn how to teach. So I began teaching on how to teach.
Physics and Maths are my favourite topics, and I want to encourage more people to love the subject. I will get enthusiastic and may go off on some tangents but it will all relate back to the same topic and will hopefully give you a better appreciation for the subjects.

In my opinion, the best way to learn is by doing and making mistakes. If you make mistakes when it doesn't matter, then you can learn to not make mistakes when it does i.e. exams.
My plan for a lesson would be to cover the topic you are either struggling with or are interested in knowing more about. This would include Physics, Mathematics and some Chemistry. While the idea is fresh in your mind I would have you work through some problems for about 10 minutes and then go through the answers with you.
I anticipate this process would take close to an hour, but if there are multiple topics you wish to cover in a session then I would extend it, but for no longer than 2 hours.
This is the approach that I used on first year university students when I worked as a workshop tutor and lab demonstrator for 6 years, starting from when I was a third year student through to my PhD.
Aimed towards high school student beginning in Physics or a university student in Physics i.e. aged 14+.
For Mathematics, all ages are welcome.
