As a tutor, I focus on making complex concepts feel intuitive and approachable. My background in both neuroscience (PhD at UBC) and electrical engineering (BSc) gives me a unique perspective on how to break down abstract ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations.
I begin each session by identifying where the student is struggling—whether it's understanding the theory, applying formulas, or solving problems. From there, I continue with brief concept reviews and then interactive problem-solving, analogies, and visual aids where helpful.
I have an interdisciplinary training and teaching experience and I’ve worked with students across high school and undergrad levels. My goal is not just to help students succeed in exams but to build a deeper understanding that stays with them beyond the classroom.
These lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for university, as well as undergrad students taking courses in math, statistics, or electrical engineering. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just trying to pass a tough course, I can adapt the pace and depth to match your needs.
